Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Maine is a program dedicated to providing children with caring mentors.  We serve children who are in need of additional support and friendship.  Children are matched in one-to-one relationships with mentors (Bigs). Bigs are volunteers, from students to retirees, who commit to sharing their time and friendship with children enrolled in our program.  Founded in 1998, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Maine is a program of Downeast Health Services, Inc. and an affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. We are also a partner agency of the United Way of Eastern Maine.  Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Maine offices are located in Hancock, Penobscot and Washington Counties.
